Why did Michael Jordan keep making the all defensive team, when he clearly should'nt have? I need something new to read. I don't normally like the super hero stuff.
I read Walking Dead, Fables, 100 Bullets and Invincible (I know he's a super hero, but its fun stuff)
I also enjoyed Y: The Last Man, Sandman, Preacher, Watchmen, V, The Blanket, & Maus.
There are no Comic book stores in my town so I Amazon everything and can't do single issues. So any recomendations should have at least 4 6 month volume sets out.

But my own with a JC sound and reptition. This movie I want to make will have an early 80's feel and look to it. It is called, "Cactus". A meteor shower hits n Arizona desert and leaves alot of smoke behind. After 3 days, the towns people see that the Catcus in the area have been moving. News blames it on heat causing people to see things and that it's nothing to worry about. The main character is a drifter who works at a highway diner dishwasher. He rides a motorcycle from town to town. Everyone continues to see Cactus move and finally, a death gets reported. A person lays dead on the steps of a church with two needled in his throat. Standing next to him is a 6 ft tall Cactus. Becomming worried, the towns people start to take action and look for the needle killer. They don't know it was the Cactus yet. More ad more deaths are being reprted and as this is going on, the public now witnesses a Cactus moving towards a child playing with his G.I. Joes. A police officer rescues the kid at the expence of his life as the on comming Catcu stabs him in the head repeatidly. The main characters end up taking refuge in the highway diner. Boarding up all the doors and windows, the hero tries to convince everyone to stay together. On of the refugees is a pastor(spelling). He begins preaching on how the world will end by mother earth taking over. She will use her very best soldiers to take back what was taken from her long ago. Everyone thinks he is crazy. Towards the end of the movie, the Cactus eventually break in and begin closing in on the survivors. The JC type music plays with suspense and repition and as one of the Cactus is about to close in, the music volume rises and then the screen cuts to black and the credits role.

My mom was sitting on the edge of the couch, drinking her usual Mocha. I walked over to her and sat beside her. Her head was buried between her novel, A Chance for Romance. Her golden hair was tied in a ponytail that hung over her shoulders. She was a beautiful woman and I sort of inherited some of her traits. My mom was an author, a famous one to tell me. She had written 7 books in a her lifetime. A Chance for Romance was published 1 month ago. Even though she knew she wrote it she still read it continuously like she was a fan of her own writing. She looked up and smiled, showing her beautiful pearly teeth.
“ Can you give me a refill please hon,” She smiled again as I chuckled and got up. I walked over to the sink and poured out the cold coffee and rinsed it. I picked up the coffee maker pot and poured the brewed coffee into the mug. I poured the Mocha flavor mix into the coffee and stirred it with a spoon. I walked back over to her and handed her the warm mug. She took a swig and smiled.
“ Just like I like it.” She said and caressed my cheek. Her skin was always cool and smooth. She sat her cup on the table next to her novel and stared at me.
“ What would I do without my Erin. Every since your dad died I’ve never been happy, but you made me change. Erin, sweetie soon you’ll be going to college and I want you to promise me you will find someone to love you in every single way.”
“ Mom, I don’t really care about finding love anymore, well it would be good to, but I got you. Enough love.”
“ Sweetie your a amazing, beautiful, intelligent young woman. I love you and care for you so much. Its time you find that special guy out there.” She said and picked up her novel and buried her head between it again.” I chuckled and stood up to walk to my room. I walked up the stairs halfway and peeked out at my mom, and said, “ Over my dead body.” She smiled and I walked up to my peaceful room, which I called “ Erin’s Paradise.”
The aroma scent of raspberries and vanilla filled my room. I laid on my big, white canopy bed and turned on the radio. I picked up my cell and was about to call Jesse--one of my best friends, but a song came on the radio that I’ve never heard. It sounded familiar though. The song started off just a strum of a acoustic guitar. Then a guy started singing. He sounded so beautiful. The music was so soothing.

That band is new to all the fame and will be performing at the Jodi’s Bar here in Cali on June 16th, one more day from here. I hurried and threw my makeup in my bag and tied the back of the shirt. I ran down the stairs, said bye to my mom and hoping I didn’t forget anything. The sun was scorching hot outside. I got in my bright red convertible and drove to Jesse’s house with One last time, It’s over in my head.

Only a genius can solve this one? 10 pts? I have authored a children's fantasy fiction which is about 45000 words. The idea is new and fresh. I have failed to find a publisher/ agent. I don't have much money to invest in large scale marketing. Please find the details of the story below.
The saga of Robin Scott is a 6 volume series children’s fantasy fiction through which the author unveils the chronicles of the making and evolution of a little boy into a super hero who ultimately grows up to become the guardian of the planet earth which the author coins as “The Big Blue Marble”. The story line is about the different adventures and hardships the little boy Robin has to face and the struggle he undergoes in life standing for the good and fighting against the evil which finally takes him to his destiny which proves to be a huge responsibility.
This story is also a mystery fiction as the author has taken conscious efforts to maintain an aura of suspense and mystery around the whole theme. Robin’s parents are murdered in the first book of the series. The detective who is investigating the case also gets murdered under strange circumstances. Robin’s grandfather who is an important character in the story is initially said to be missing and finally when he is found, he is in a state of coma not able to explain what has happened to him. The author is trying to create a ‘Nothing is what it seems to be’ kind of atmosphere through out the story until the real villains of the story are revealed which happens only in the third book of the series. Again there are instances where Robin is called as the ‘Guardian of the Big Blue Marble’ by certain key characters and when Robin asks the reason for he being called so, the answer he receives is ‘Time will give you the answer’.
This story is different from the rest of its genre due to the fact that Robin is born as a normal but hyper active kid and not with any supernatural powers. He is neither an alien nor does he possess any hi-tech gadgets. It is the destiny or the fate which is forcing the boy to travel through lot of events in his life. What ever he learns, experiences and acquires during this journey finally helps him solve the mysteries surrounding his family and turns him into a super hero and the guardian of planet earth. The first book in the 6 series fantasy fiction starts when Robin is just 6 years old. The story will be narrated in such a manner that Robin will be growing along with his readers to become a super hero and finally the guardian of the ‘Big Blue Marble’ at the age of 18 in the last book of the series. There is mystery, magic, super natural powers, fantasy and fiction which is capable of taking the readers to the edge of their seats and finally Robin Scott, the next door boy who will win the reader’s heart.
